Esquipula "Skippy" Garbagni, age 79, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 3, 1999.
Esquipula was born on January 1, 1920 in La Madera, NM to Dominic and Manuelita Garbagni.
Esquipula is survived by her loving family, one son, Manuel Garbagni and his wife, Joan, both of Albuquerque, two daughters, Dominica Sullivan and her husband, Corky of Salem, AL and Anna Garbagni of Reno, NV, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Johnny Garbagni and his wife, Dioli and Raymond Garbagni and his wife, Marcella, one sister, Mary Valtierra, brother-in-law, Armando Candelaria, sister-in-law, Sylvia Garbagni, friends, Alma Chávez and Phyllis Wilson and numerous nephews and nieces, all of Albuquerque.
Esquipula will be greatly missed by her loving family.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., in the Chapel of García Mortuary, on the corner of 8th St. and Iron, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, 9:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE. Interment will follow at La Madera Cemetery in La Madera, NM. Casket bearers will be Randy Sánchez, Johnny Garbagni, Miguel Valtierra, Andrew Candelaria and Frank Little.
