PROSPECT — Mary Lou Arcuri Favale, 66, the widow of John Leigh Favale, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Mary Lou was born Nov. 5, 1948, in Waterbury, a daughter of Mary Matos Arcuri Donofrio and the late Gabriel Frank Arcuri. Mary Lou attended local schools and graduated from Post Junior College in Waterbury. Mary Lou worked as an administrator in the Wolcott school system for many years. Mary Lou was a former member of the Wolcott Junior Women's Club and a member of the Wolcott Women's Club.

In addition to her mother of Naugatuck, Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Melissa L. Costanzo, her granddaughters, Gabriella Costanzo and Gianna Costanzo, all of Prospect; her brothers, Peter Donofrio of Thomaston and Philip Arcuri and Gabriel Arcuri, both of Naugatuck; several nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery in Seymour. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
