William H Sanders of Eldersville died Sunday Sept 9, 1951 at 2:13 am at his home following a lengthy illness.
Born Aug 30, 1879 in Washington County, he was a son of the late Byron and Margaret Hooker Sanders.
Mr Sanders was an oil driller and had worked in the Tri-State district oil fields. He was a former road supervisor in Jefferson Township and was last employed at the Farm Service Station on Route 22.
He was united in marriage Dec 24, 1902 with Elsie Boles, of Eldersville. He was a member of the Eldersville Methodist Church and the Richard Baux Lodge F and A M of Burgettstown.
Besides his wife he is survived by a son Robert B Sanders of Chappaqua, N Y, two daughters, Mrs Lee Hunger of Colliers, W Va and Mrs H F Cotterman of Hyattsville, Md, five grandchildren and three sisters, Miss Lulu Sanders of Portland, Ore, Mrs. William Lake of Birdsboro and Mrs. Alfred Kraeger of Pompano, Fla. A son John died in 1941.
