Audrey is survived by the love of her life, her husband, James “Randy” Piper and her “babies”, Konic and Raquel. The other love of her life was riding on their Harley, wrapping her arms around Randy and feeling the wind in her face or riding in her convertible with the top down to Mexico Beach. She is also survived by her daughter, Chetta Donaldson; grandchildren, Destyni, 9 and Dayton, 7; brothers, Lawrence Roubique and wife Maria and Howard Roubique and Teresa Stafford; sisters, Louise Roubique and Rodney Cathey, Rhonda Jackson and husband Ricky; sister-in-law, Jackie Piper Guilbeau; brother-in-law, Daryl Piper, Sr. She is preceded in death by an infant child, David McVea; parents, Lawrence Wallace and Mabel Roubique; father and mother-in-law, Jack and Lillian M. Piper; brother-in-law, Francis Dale Piper; and son, Joel (Piper) Czarnomski of Gonzales, LA. The family would like to send a special thanks to friends Karen, Katie, and Tracey.
To know Audrey was to experience unconditional love. There was no distinction between friends and family. Once you were a part of her life, you became family. She was the first to reach out to help and the last to leave a person in need. If you were lucky enough to know her, you became a better person and helped make the world a more loving and accepting place. Audrey loved without condition and is leaving behind many whose lives will not be the same without her. She was a true Steel Magnolia; a person of strength, character, and love.
Visiting will be observed at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from 10:00 am until service time. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Interment to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
