He first shows in the 1870 Kanawha Co. WV census with brother Phillip, in the home of Mayer and Sophia Mays. They came from Westheim, Bavaria Germany.

Sophia might have been a sister, she also shows coming from Bavaria Germany.

Moses and Phillip were tailors. There was a Frankenberger Clothing Store on Capitol Street, Charleston, opened by the family.
Moses wife was Fanny ELLINGER whom he married in 1873 Louisville, Ky.

They had eight children: Amelia 1875, Rika 1876, Samuel 1879, Hugo 1878, Leo 1890 and Bertram 1890
