Mrs. Rebecca Wiant Hall, a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Wiant, of Clarion, was born in Porter township, Clarion county, 41 years ago, and died at her home in Marienville, Saturday, June 8, 1907, after a somewhat protracted illness from diabetes. The deceased is survived by her husband, Thomas K. Hall, one son, Harold, and by one brother, Wallace W. Wiant, of Clarion, and the following sisters: Mrs. Ferringer, New Maysville; Mrs. P. H. Keefer and Mrs. J. M. Keefer, Clarion; Mrs. Cornman, Rimersburg; Mrs. Gold, Butler, and Mrs. Eisenman, Strattanville. Mrs. Hall was for a number of years a devout and faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal church and lived such a true life that everyone who knew her and saw her daily life knew that she was a steadfast follower of her Saviour. She spent the past winter in Clarion with her brother and sisters who have the comfort of having ministered to her happiness in her last days. Funeral services were held last Sunday morning at 11 a.m. in the church at Marienville of which she was a member and her remains were brought to Clarion that evening, Rev. L.H. Shindledecker, pastor, preaching the funeral sermon and accompanying the remains. Services were held at the residence of P. H. Keefer Monday morning by Revs. L. H. Shindledecker, Wm. F. Fleming and J.0. Langham and interment followed in Clarion cemetery.
