THOMAS JARVIE
Funeral services for Thomas Jarvie, 91, of McKinnon were conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at the Vase Funeral Home, the Rev. Kenneth Biel of the First Congregational Church officiating. Burial was in Mountain View section of Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brad and Boyd Nelson, Gaylan and Craig Jarvie and Randy Terry, all grandsons.
The honorary pallbearer was Gilbert Jarvie, another grandson serving on a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Japan.
Mr. Jarvie died Thursday, May 9, at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County, where he had been a patient since April 25. He had been in ill health since February.
Born Aug. 19, 1883 at Browns Park, Colo., he was the son of the late John and Nellie Barr Jarvie Sr. He attended school in Browns Park and Ogden, Utah.
A retired rancher, he had been a resident of the McKinnon area since 19??.
Surviving are two sons, Alonzo of McKinnon and Douglas of St. Anthony, Idaho; three daughters, Pamela and Ruth, both of Manila, Utah, and Mrs. Harold (Nellie) Nelson of Ogden; seven grandsons and two granddaughters.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Archie, Jan. 1, 1959, and three brothers, John Archie and James.
