Mr. Cecil L. Carr, Jr., age 89 of Griffin, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014.
Mr. Carr was born in Griffin, Georgia on April 25, 1925. Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Lewis Carr and Virginia Carr.
He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. He retired from Buckles Hardware and at the time he worked at Buckles, he owned his own business, Carr Tax and Bookkeeping Service.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Carr; son, Steve Carr; step daughter, Cheryl Turner; step daughter, Lynn Blair and husband, Walter; brother, Alan Carr and his wife, Jean; 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Cecil Carr will be on Saturday, December 20, 2014 from 2:30pm until 4:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Following the visitation the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel at 4:00pm. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
