Funeral Mass for Darlene T. Bonifield will be held at 10:00 Mountain Time Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Nenzel. Burial will follow at the Hyannis Cemetery in Hyannis, NE.

Darlene Theresa Bonifield entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on December 16, 2014. She was blessed to be in her home with her loving family by her side.

Darlene was born in Hyannis, NE on September 18, 1938 to Thelma (Zobel) and Ed Becker. As an infant she was baptized into the Catholic Church. She attended the first three years of elementary school in Ashby, NE. From there on she attended grades 4-12 at St. Agnes Academy in Alliance, NE.

On June 7, 1957 she was united in marriage to Bud Bonifield her devoted husband of 57 years. Darlene and Bud spent their first 28 years on a ranch South of Whitman, NE. During this time they were blessed with the birth of 4 daughters. Then in 1985 they purchased their ranch South of Nenzel, NE.

Darlene was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church and Altar Society in Hyannis, NE and later became a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Altar Society in Nenzel.

Darlene loved devoting her precious time to raising her 4 daughters and working beside her husband on the ranch. In her spare time she loved sewing, quilting, and crafting in her building that she designed specifically for her hobbies.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Ed and Thelma Becker, Sisters Irene Lowe and Delores Valentine, two infant brothers, one niece, and one nephew.
She is survived by her husband Bud of Nenzel, her daughters Carla (Fritz) Cooley of Valentine, Wanda (Barney) Ellis of Paradise, Texas, Linda (Scott) Anderson of Hyannis, NE and Kendra (Doug) Schneider of Cody, NE, her five Grandchildren, Adrina (Blake) Mabry of Fort Worth, TX, Erica (Tyler) Arter of Lincoln, NE, Shallon (Raquel) Ellis of Saginaw, TX, Travis (Melissa) Cooley of Hershey, NE, Jason Anderson of Hyannis, NE and Haley and Kenley Schneider of Cody, NE and 9 Great Grandchildren. Darlene is also survived by her twin sister Charlene (Gary) Hebbert of Nogal, New Mexico, Arlene Minor of Gordon, Maxine Morris of Phoenix, Arizona and brother Ed (Sally) Becker of Chadron, NE, numerous nieces and nephews and close friends.

Services were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nenzel with burial at the Hyannis Cemetery in Hyannis, NE. Sandoz Chapel of the Pines was in charge of the arrangements.
