Malcolm D. Sterner, 80, of Hanover, PA entered into God's eternal care, Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the Hanover Hospital. Born May 7, 1934 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late John and Mamie (Bankert) Sterner. Malcolm was the loving husband of Doris L. (Zumbrum) Sterner with whom he shared over fiftyfive years of marriage.

Mr. Sterner was a veteran and served his country proudly in the United States Army.
Malcolm was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Hanover, PA. Mr. Sterner retired from P.H.
Glatfelter with over twenty­eight years of service as a coater re­winder operator. He was a member of the
quarter­century club.

Malcolm loved attending air shows and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Penn State Nittany Lions.

In addition to his wife Doris, Malcolm is survived by
two children, Douglas E. Sterner and his wife Julie of Hanover, PA, and Carolyn D. Radcliffe of York, PA,
two grandchildren, Nathan and his wife Jacqueline, and Natalie, a brother, Harold Sterner of Hanover, PA
and a sister, Ruthetta Maloney of Hanover, PA. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Colleen K. Sterner,
a brother, Robert Sterner and a sister, Louise Eline.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Malcolm's
life will be held at 11:00AM, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 30 W.
Chestnut Street, Hanover, PA. Burial will be in
Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. Serving as casketbearers will be Nathan Sterner, Natalie Sterner, Eric Zumbrum, Charles Zumbrum, Dave Kessler, and Ray Henry.
