Born in Providence, a son of the late Antonio and Eugenia (Carcieri) Altieri, he moved from Johnston to Orlando in 1979.
He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Elks in Smithfield. He was a former chairman of the Deborah Hospital Central Orlando Chapter.
Survived by his wife; 2 sons, Anthony Altieri III and Alfred Altieri, both of Orlando; two brothers, William Altieri Sr. of North Providence and Alfred DeCubellis of Edgewater, and seven sisters, Melinda Tacelli and Anna Altieri, both of Johnston, Viola Grillo of Providence, Helen Rospo and Angela Thompson, both of Orlando, Margaret Macedonio of Swansea and Phyllis Parante of Smithfield.
Burial in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
