Georgia Lucile Smith Bourne, 91, died Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Woodland Health Care in Midway after a long illness, while under the care of Hospice. Ms. Bourne was born November 28, 1914 to the late Hiram and Susie Smith in the former town known as Willie. She then moved to Savannah at an early age were she was educated in the public school system. She was a graduate of Savannah High. Ms. Bourne was a Charter member of Aldersgate Methodist in Savannah, a member of the Eastern Star, Laurel Chapter 51 in Savannah, member of the V.F.W. Post #660, member of the American Legion Auxiliary-Unit 184, a member of a Tuesday Bridge Club for over 60 years and was a home maker. She was preceded in death by siblings, Dr. Harold M. Smith, Henry C. Smith, Walter W. Smith and Ruth S. Anderson.
