James L. Elliott, age 68, of Parrottsville, born July 7, 1946, died December 1, 2014.
He was preceded in death by his son, James L. Elliott, Jr; father, William A. Elliott, Sr.; mother, Mamie L. Elliott; brother. Lloyd Elliott; sisters, Marjorie Davis and Mary Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mary Edith Elliott; daughter, Shawaune C. Elliott both of Parrottsville; sisters, Beulah (Charles) Greene, Fronie, Rowena "Pib" and Roberta Elliott; and Robin Elliott-Haney, all of Newport; brothers, William A. Elliott, Jr., Randy (Christi), Curt (Lisa); and D. K. Elliott all of Newport; Yul (Cathy) Elliott of Greeneville; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family in Georgia and Kentucky. Also a very special daughter-cousin Pamela Stokely of Georgia and extended family Sadie and Austin Valentine of Newport.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm Saturday, December 6, 2014 with the funeral services following at 2:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jesse Jones, Jr, Rev. Carl Bragg and Rev. Rosie K. Cuberson officiating. Burial will be immediately after the funeral in Faubian Cemetery.
