Mamie Lou Elliott, was born on May 23, 1926 and was called home for a well-earned rest on June 10, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Alonzo Elliott, Sr.; son, Lloyd; daughters, Marjorie Davis and Mary Stewart Wilson; father, Jesse "Tump" Stewart; mother, Mary E. Stewart; brothers, Roy and Robert "Bud" Stewart; sisters, Lucy Jo, Nora Sue, Shirley Ann and Newell Stewart and Lilie Mae Ramsey.

She leaves to mourn her death; sons, James (Mary Edith), D. K. (Paula), William A. Elliott, Jr.,(Brenda), Randy (Christi), Yul (Cathy) of Greeneville, TN, Curt (Lisa); her daughters, Rowena, Beulah (Charles Greene) , Fronie, Roberta (Gladstone), Robin Elliott-Haney; her brother, Charles E. "(Stu) Stewart; sisters, Delia E. Stewart and Anna L. (Henry) Colefield of Baltimore, Maryland. She also leaves to mourn thirty grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; beloved nieces, nephews, friends; special daughter-like figure Cora Sue Singletary and special friend Bessie Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm Sunday, June 15, 2014 with funeral services following at 2:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rosie Cuberson and Rev. Carl Bragg and William Alonzo Elliott, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in Gum Springs Union Cemetery.
