Jane Cantley

Thelma Jane Cantley, 70, of Little Hocking, (OH), passed away on September 22, 2009 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 26, 1939 in Charleston, WV one of 12 children of the late Francis Banning and Ethel Maggie May Murphy.

Jane had worked as a LPN specializing in geriatric care for many years having worked at Worthington Manor and retiring from Marietta Center. She enjoyed bowling and was a WVU fan. Jane was a Christian and attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Vienna.

She will be missed by so many including her children Elaine Dodd and husband Jack of Belpre, William A. Cantley and Rosemary Cantley, both of Little Hocking, three grandchildren Ross Alan Dodd and wife Jessica, Brianna Jane Dodd, Joshua Ryan Cantley, two brothers Ray Harding Murphy and wife Audrey of Hurricane, WV, Russell Murphy and wife Nancy of Clay, WV, two sisters Zelma Heater of Gassaway, Murph Maggio and husband Mike of Charleston, twenty nieces and nephews, 45 great nieces and nephews, good friend Bud Vanscoy and faithful pup Mollie.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by seven siblings, Grace Murphy, Coleman Murphy, Lester Dennis Murphy, Cluster Leonard Murphy, Ralph Murphy, Robert Murphy and Gayland Carroll Murphy.

The funeral service will be at Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Lands officiating. Burial will be at Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre, and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
