Services for Mrs. Eva Caples, 87, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday in the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel with the Rev. John Poe officiating. Burial will be in Zavalla Cemetery.
Mrs. Caples of Zavalla died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was a homemaker and a lifetime resident of Angelina County. She was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Zavalla.
Survivors: daughter, Mrs. Willie Birdwell; sisters, Mrs. Rosie Laster and Mrs. Ester Laster; 2 grandchildren, Deborah Beech and Robert Birdwell.
