Funeral services for William Caples, 99, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel with the Rev. Billy Durham officiating. Burial will be in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. Caples of 113 North Ave., Lufkin, died in a local hospital Monday afternoon. He was born December 4, 1869, in Mississippi and had resided in Angelina County for 71 years.
He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Eva Mae Caples of Zavalla; 4 daughters, Mrs. Lillie Ebarb of Beaumont, Mr. E. T. Burnett of Lufkin, Mrs. W. J. Weeks of Lufkin and Mrs. Willie Mae Birdwell of Houston; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
