Married Thomas Jefferson Shelton 30 Nov 1883 in Gainesville, Cooke Co TX. Children: Charles R., Walter Floyd, Clyde, Esta May, Kenneth Roy, Aubrey Claude. The following obit was provided by Shelli Steedman.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rebecca Jane [Henderson] Shelton will be held Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Chapman & Poulin Chapel. The Rev. Orval D. Peterson will officiate and burial will be in Tahoma Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert V. Love, Harry Froemke, Beaumont Beam, Fred LaFortune, Elmer Miland and Don Morrill, Mrs. Shelton, 80, died in her home at 2 South Hillcrest, Thursday night after a two year illness.

She was born in Bienville, Louisiana, had lived in Washington 56 years and Yakima 32. She was a member of the First Christian Church. She is survived by five sons, Charles R. of Portland, Floyd of Tacoma, Clyde B. of Seattle, Kenneth R. and Aubrey C. of Yakima; a daughter Mrs. Esta May Young of Buena; 13 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
