A Celebration of Life for a Jacksonville Centenarian, Mrs. Rhoda Anderson, will be held at 11AM, SATURDAY, November 26, 2005 in Simpson Memorial United Methodist Church, where she held membership, Rev. Moses Johnson, Pastor, Rev. S.S. Robinson, officiating. Mrs. Anderson of 6117 Iris Blvd. passed away November 21, 2005 in a local hospital. A native of Gainesville, FL, she has resided in Jacksonville for 75 years. Survivors include her daughters, Mses. Alice Hall, Earline Tucker( Herman) and Marcella Sampson; 13 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nephews, Nathaniel Hicks(Devoted) and R. J. Anderson; a number of nieces, grandnieces, great grandnieces, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Anderson will rest in the mortuary for visitation of friends FRIDAY from 5PM until 8PM (where the family will receive friends at 5PM) and in the church Saturday from 9AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Edgewood Cemetery. The cortege will assemble at the residence under the direction of ALPHONSO WEST MORTUARY, INC., 4409 Soutel Dr. (766-9671)."
