Services for William “Pudgy” Anderson, 70, of Kilgore, Texas will be held Sunday, December 7, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Phillips officiating. The interment will follow at Gladewater Memorial Park. William passed on Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Longview, Texas.

“Pudgy” as his friends affectionately called him was born to Jimmie and Virginia Anderson in Kilgore Texas on February 2, 1944 after graduating from Gladewater High School he joined the Navy and served his country proudly until his retirement. He was a member of the VVF Chapter 987. He and his wife were residents of Kilgore, Texas and were both members of Friendship Baptist Church of Kilgore.

William is survived by his wife, Robbie Anderson of Kilgore; son, Danny M. Butler of Marshall; daughters, Sharon Anderson Adams and husband Robert of Troup, Misty Townsend Yates of Kilgore; Brother Jimmy D. Anderson and wife Joan of Madisonville; sisters, Jo Olive Allen and husband Andrew of Dickson, TN., and Geneva Ann Johnson and husband Eddie of Overton, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Earl Anderson and Evelyn Virginia Dillon Anderson as well as one daughter, Pamela Raye Anderson Taylor.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home.
