John L. Barclay died at his residence in Scotland Township, Sunday, aged 29 years, 10 months and 2 days. Funeral service were held at the residence Tuesday morning at 11o'clock, interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Deceased was born in Scotland Township and was a son of Robert and Jane Barclay. His ailment was typhoid fever, from which he has suffered for the past three weeks. He was married Nov. 25, 1897, to Miss Anna Gesner, who with two children - Genar, aged 4 and Harold D., aged 1, survive. He is also survived by one brother, Willie , and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Walker and Miss Jessie. One brother, Robert, was killed by lightning seven years ago. Deceased was a well known young farmer and leases a host of friends.
