Jane Donaldson Barclay was born July 22, 1837 near Grangemouth, Scotland and died at her him in Scotland Township on March 14, at the age of 88 years, 7 months, and 20 days. Bronchitis and asthma caused her death after an illness of five days. She came to Macomb in 1866 and was married that year to Robert Barclay who died in 1917. She has been a member of the Presbyterian church since girlhood, and was a devout Christian.
She is survived by three children. mrs. Ellen Walker, Miss Jessie, and William D. Two sons, Robert and John are deceased. Three grand children also mourn her death, Delbert and Herald Barclay of Oklahoma, and Lois M. Walker of Scotland township. Funeral services will be held from the First Presbyterian church at 11 o'clock Tuesday, with Rev. Rodgers in char. Interment will be made in Oakwood Cemetery.
