Mrs. Hannah Audie McGinnis Shaffer, 53, wife of Charles W. Shaffer, died at her home, 203 Liberty Street, early Monday morning.
The daughter of the late John W. And Elizabeth McKain McGinnis, Mrs. Shaffer was born in Kennerdell, Jan, 17, 1885. She was married to Mr. Shaffer on Feb. 20, 1901. She resided all her life in Venango County.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Co-Ed Class of the Baptist Sunday School. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are her husband, three children, Oliver G. Shaffer, of Lakeworth, Fla., Mrs. Geneviev E. Stoner, of Jackson, Mich., and Miss Marguerite Shaffer, at home; three grandchildren, Richard, Colleen and David Shaffer, of Lakeworth, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Ashbaugh, of Franklin, and one brother, Burton D. McGinnis of Youngstown O.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the home with Rev. S. S. Clark officiating. Interment will be in Disler's Corners Cemetery. The body will remain at the Barron Chapel until noon Tuesday when it will be removed to the home. Friends may call at either place.
