Polly's parents were Amos and Callie (Butler) Rogers.

She married Crawford "Pat" Sweet Mitchell (Margaret Mitchell's first cousin - she was the author of the famous book "Gone with the Wind".)

Cute story: Margaret Mitchell showed up at the Bank where Polly worked to "see who her cousin was marrying". Polly and Margaret hit it off right away and were great friends.

Fun fact: Margaret gave Polly her gloves and earrings she wore to the Fox Theater in Atlanta when MGM premiered the famous movie "Gone with the Wind" based on her book.

Another fun fact: Polly had many 1st edition versions of GWTW books in many different languages.
