He was born in Buchanan County, and was an employee of Punk Coal Co., Grundy.
Survivors are his parents, Tye and Stella Coleman of Maxie; his wife, Mrs. Phyllis Simpson Coleman of Maxie; three sons, Allen Coleman, Daniel Coleman and Matthew Coleman, all of the home; one sister, Mrs. Orpha Deel of Oakwood; three brothers, Marlin Coleman and Roby Coleman, both of Baltimore, Md., and Irving Coleman of Rt. 2, Grundy.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with elders Paul McClanahan and Frank Newsome officiating. Burial was in Coleman Cemetery on Bull Mountain near Harmon.
