On Jan 9, 1919, in Marshalltown, he was married to Victoria Webut and they had always made their home in this city. Mr. Marquis was employed at the M & St. L Railroad and later at Fisher Controls for 26 years, retiring due to ill health.
Preceding him in death were one daughter in infancy and a brother.
Mr. Marquis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose No. 313.
Surviving are the widow and six children, Kenneth Marquis of Glendale, CA., Howard Marquis, Renton, WA; Roger Marquis, Parker, AZ; Mrs. E. C. (Lois) Hammond, Grinnell; Mrs. Donald (Arlene) Crane, Natchez, MS; and Mrs. Jerry (Marilyn) Stewart, Oxford. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a brother and four sisters., George Marquis and Mrs. Florence White, both of Marshalltown; Mrs. Roger (Goldie) Stevens of Ohio; Mrs. Elsie Frezey of Argo, IL and Mrs. Lonnie Garrington of CA.
