J.W. “Dub” Reddell, 74, passed away Nov. 28, 2014, at his home in Mineral Wells.

Service is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.


He was born Nov. 23, 1940, in Weatherford, the son of James William and Jessie Jewell Helton Reddell. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve. He retired from Coles Nursery in 2003.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David Wayne and Debbie Reddell of Cooper, Texas; grandchildren, Lisa and Donald Wilson of Cooper, Cassie Reddell of Greenville, Texas, Chris and Amber Dorsett of Fort Worth, and David Wayne Jr. and Derrick Reddell of Cooper; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Brittany and Donald Jr. Wilson of Cooper, and Aiyonna Springer and Damon Reddell of Greenville; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Coy Lee Reddell, Jessie Vear Reddell Roden, Jackie Royce Reddell and Helen Reddell Walker.
