Hester A. (Zachary) Silvers of Waynesburg, Kentucky died at Fort Logan Extended Care Center after an illness of several months. She was 86 years old.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
She was survived by her son, Raymond Silvers of Waynesburg, Kentucky; her daughter, Edna Padgett of Waynesburg, Kentucky; her brothers, Reverend Jerry Zachary of Helenwood, Tennessee, Reverend Cornell Zachary of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Reverend Eldred Zachary of Vancouver, Washington, and Reverend Alfred Zachary of Nancy, Kentucky; her sisters, Dora Hutson of Florida, Lucy Morris of Michigan, and Zana Cooper of Chinoe, California; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pleas Jasper Zachary and Susan Etta Jane (Flowers) Zachary; and her husband, George Silvers.
Funeral services were held at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with Reverend Cecil Roundtree and Reverend Vola Brown officiating. Barnett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
