Dumas - Earl Stokes Cooper, 79, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2104 at North MS. Medical Center. He was born February 13, 1935 to the late Earl Franklin and Sarah Jane Bryant Cooper. He was a United Methodist Minister. Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Ripley Funeral Home with Bro. Rex Bullock and Bro. Doc Shelton officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kathleen Mask Cooper of Dumas; one daughter, Miriam Reed (Scott) Of Shuqualak, MS; two sons, Chris Cooper (Anita) of Columbus and Tim Cooper (Angie) of North Carolina; one sister, Yvonne Greer (Bobby) of Pine Grove; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bobby and Justin Greer, Holland, Charlie and Keith McDowell, Michael Cooper. Honorary Pallbearers will be Special Youth from his Ministry and Boy Scout Troops from Thaxton, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Regina Watts; and one brother, Basil Bryant Cooper. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm Monday, November 24, 2014 at Ripley Funeral Home.
