Found in The State 13 October 1923: Mrs. J. W. Conder, aged 49, died at her home in Fairwold at 10:40 o'clock last night from an attack of acute indigestion. Mrs. Conder was a member of the First Baptist church here, and possessed many fine traits of character. Her many friends will regret to learn of her death. She is survived by her husband, who is vice president of the Gregory-Conder Mule company and by two daughters, Mrs. Andrew Brady of Columbia and little Mary Helen Conder; and by two sons, J. Walter Conder Jr., of Columbia and William Conder.
