Sidney Bennett Brown of Ord died in University Hospital, Omaha on September 29, 1949, after a lingering illness. He was 64 years, 8 months and 1 day old.
He was born January 28, 1885 at Defiance, Iowa. At the age of 7 he moved with his family to the vicinity of Cushing, Nebraska, where he grew to manhood. On September 4, 1924 he was married to Ella E. Douglass of Cushing. Six children were born, one of whom died in infancy.
He is survived by his wife and 5 children, 3 grandchildren, two sisters: Mrs. Maggie Wisser of St. Paul and Mrs. Bertha Glass of Grand Island.
Funeral services were held last Sunday at Ord.
