The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Park Place Baptist Church, where he was a charter member. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Coggins was born Jan. 23, 1901, in Davidson County to Eli Harris Coggins and Louella Smith Coggins. He was a retired employee of Brookdale Carving.
His wife, Cleo Perryman Coggins died Jan. 1, 1962.
Surviving are a daughter, Nell Vowell, a son, Edward (Buster) Coggins of High Point, two sisters, Lyde Dorsett and Mamie Johnson of Thomasville, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home and at the home of the daughter, Nell Vowell.
