DAVENPORT — Kenneth W. Snyder, 83, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Davenport First Church of the Nazarene. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Runge Mortuary. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com.
On Nov. 16, 1964, he married Marriett Springsteen in Silvis. Mr. Snyder was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of First Nazarene Church in Davenport, where he served on the board. He enjoyed remodeling homes and helping others in need.
Survivors include his wife, Marriett; children, Mark, Debbie, Rita and Diane; grandchildren, Danny, Nathan, Shawn, Collin, Blake, Andy, Tommy, Kevin, Kortney, Drake and Dillon; numerous great-grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn. He was preceded in death by children, Joy, Jerry and Rocky, and three sisters.
