ROCK ISLAND - Services for Dorothy V. Carter, 70, of 8116 8th St. W., will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport.
Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today.
Mrs. Carter died Tuesday at Trinity Medical Center-East Campus, Moline.
She retired in 1982 as a head cashier after more than 25 years at Eagle Discount Supermarkets. She had worked in both the Rock Island and Milan, Ill., stores.
After that, she cared for her twin grandchildren.
Dorothy Snyder married Hobert Carter in 1951 in Rock Island. He died in 1973.
She was a member of American Association of Retired Persons.
She was an Atlanta Braves baseball fan, enjoyed ice skating and also played the organ.
Survivors include a daughter, Becky (Mrs. Mike) Brown, Hinckley, Ill.; a son, David B., Moline; two grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn (Mrs. Leo) Teel and Mary Lou (Mrs. Robert) Gruenigen, both of Davenport; and Arlene Voelkers, Clinton, Iowa; stepsisters, Gloria Leander and Joanne Carstens, both of Davenport; half-sisters, Sharon Mooney, Arlene Kolb and Kathy Descheppar; a brother, Kenneth Snyder, and a stepbrother, James Bell, both of Davenport.
