She was born in McIntosh County and was educated in McIntosh County School. She was a homemaker and member of Queen Eastern Chapter #109 O.E.S.
SURVIVORS: a daughter, Sonja E. Atwater Gordon of Brunswick; a sister, Mary L. Stevens of New York, N.Y.; a godson and goddaughter, Roosevelt and Bertha Scott, both of Silco; and a grandson, Quinton J. Leonard of Brunswick.
FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Saturday at Darien Funeral Home, burial in Churchill Cemetery. -Savannah Now, March 1999
