1868, Elizabeth, dau. of Thomas and Rebekah [Barnett] Moorhead, and gr.-dau. of Thomas Moorhead whose an cestors came from Lancaster co., Pa., and were desc. of the Muirheads, who were among the covenanters of Scotland, also gr.-dau. of Moses and Rebecca [Green] Barnett, he, Moses, was of Scotch-Irish descent, and his earliest American ances tors embarked for America 1734 and settled at Hanover, Pa., she, Rebecca, was a dau. of Col. Timothy Green of Dauphin co., Pa., b. there 1763). In the Pennsylvania land office patent book 11:246, a patent to a tract of land called 'Barnett's Conquest' in the lower Forks of Beaver Creek, Paxton Township (now West Hanover), Dauphin County, issued to Joseph Barnett in 1887

The patent recites that the track was surveyed by warrant of January 16th 1737 Lancaster County, Copied Warrants, V. 14, no.17) to William Nott, who by deed of March 4th 1739/40, conveyed the same to William Barnett, who by Will of April 3st 1752 (see Lancaster Co Will Book 1:17, April 3rd 1752- March 8th 1762) devised the same to son Joseph Barnett. (No survey of 1737 was returned). This track was resurveyed to Joseph Barnett in 1763 (Lancaster County Copied Surveys 19:91).

In 1791 Joseph conveyed the land to his son Moses Barnett (Dauphin County deed book E1:242).[ This being Rebecca's father]
In 1793 Moses brother's: John, Joseph, James and Thomas quick claimed to him 'all rights' to the land. (Dolphin County Mortgage Book D:450).

viii. William Wilberforce MOORHEAD was born 6 AUG 1839, and died 30 DEC 1873. He married Mary YALE 28 APR 1864.
ix. Anna MOORHEAD was born 1 DEC 1841. She married Charles DERRICKSON 21 MAY 1863.
x. Elizabeth MOORHEAD was born 20 NOV 1844. She married Charles Warren STONE 30 JAN 1868. He was born 29 JUN 1845 in Groton, Massachusetts
