Column at entrance to the Howe Cemetery. The plaque reads: HOWE CEMETERY. IN MEMORY OF FREDERICK AND POLLY BLISS HOWE WHO GAVE THIS LAND IN 1838.

Entrance to the Howe Cemetery, on Buffalo Road, in Bertrand Township, South of Buchanan, Michigan. (Frederick and Polly's headstones are behind the column on the left). Note the sign on the right column. It states: HOWE CEMETERY. IN MEMORY OF FREDERICK AND POLLY BLISS HOWE, WHO GAVE THIS LAND IN 1838.
