"Zachariah's Family Cemetery, on his father Sam's original land, is still there close to the Saluda River, Tosety Creek and the Old Cherokee Path. h/o Martha Harriett Hamilton Abney, a.1740-1817, married in Edgefield District 1779. She was a sister to Eleanor Hamilton, a.1749-1819, who married Paul Abney.

(Martha Abney Kennedy was the wife of William Kennedy the son of Jane and Alexander Kennedy. William and Martha lived in Jasper County, Ga where his mother, Jane, died in 1823. They then moved to Greene County, Alabama where William died in the 1840s. Martha is in the 1850 census living beside her grandson James Kennedy.)
