Obituary from an Eminence, MO newspaper...............

Silas Estill, who lived on the H.M. Wagner place on Hay Hallow, passed away last Friday. We are informed that he was afflicted with heart trouble and dropsy. His remains were laid to rest at the Munsell Chapel Cemetery on Sunday. He leaves his wife, Bessie, and three children -- two daughters, Jane and Lucy, who have been attending the Eminence High School, and a son, Silas Jr. Mr. Estill came to Shannon County from Howard County, his former home, some two or three years ago and bought the Hay Hallow farm from Mr. Wagner. He was an honest, hard-working man, and made many friends while he lived among us. We extend our sympathies to the bereaved family.
