Louise McCrary 85,of Big Spring,died on Saturday,Nov.15,2003,in an Odessa care facility.
Her body is being donated to the Texas Tech University School of Medicine. No services are planned,at her request.

She was born in Murfreesboro,TN,on Sept 14,1918,to James Frank and May Becton McCrary. Louise moved to Big Spring with her family in 1925. She attended Big Spring schools,graduating from Big Spring High School in 1936.

She married Carlson Hamilton in 1938. He preceded her in death on Aug. 20,1963.

Louise worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 42 years,retiring in 1978 as chief operator of the Big Spring office.

She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church,a member of the Eastern Star,the Social Order of Beauceant's and was a past advisor of the Rainbow Girls. She was a also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Louise was an avid bridge player,gardener and loved to travel.

Survivors include two sisters,Nell R. McCrary of Big Spring and Elizabeth Gast of Galveston;a brother Bill McCrary and wife Florence of Peoria,AZ.;two sisters-in-law,Zula McCrary of Big Spring and Helen McCrary of Boerne;and several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents;three brothers, J.O., Elvis and Grady McCrary;and a sister, Mary Carroll all of Big Spring.
