Lester J. Brenner, age 90, of Wilton, IA, died on Monday, November 10, 2014 at The Wilton Retirement Community, Wilton, IA.

Lester was born April 24, 1924 to William and Bessie (Duncan) Brenner in Wilton, IA. Lester graduated from Wilton High School. He married Betty A. Smith on July 26, 1943 in Amarillo, TX. She preceded him in death on August 19, 2004.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Force, during WWII.

He retired from J.I. Case, formerly in Bettendorf, IA, where he worked as an Industrial Engineer.
Lester was a member of the Wilton United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post #584. His favorite past time was cruising slowly around Wilton watching construction projects. He also enjoyed driving his Model A Ford, playing cards, and watching stock car races. Above all he loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 4-7 P.M., at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, IA.

Services will be held on Friday, November 14, 2014, at 10:30 A.M. at the Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, IA.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandchildren: A.J. Darting, Amy Maurer, Todd Lenker, Tim Lenker, Tisha Johnson, Corey Brenner and Kristen Evans.

Interment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton, IA.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his children: Sandy Darting, Vicki Lenker and Jack and his wife Debbie Brenner all of Wilton, IA, 7 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and his sisters: Mary Ellis and Martha Bylena both of AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his son-in-laws: Jerry Lenker and Bud Darting, his sister Stella Maher and his brothers: Robert, Kenneth and Charles Brenner.
