BOONEVILLE Linda Darnell Carpenter Robertson, 44, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 1997, at the Columbia Putnam Medical Center in Palatka, Fla., following a brief illness. She was born in Booneville on April 28, 1953, to the late Colus Younger “Cole” Carpenter and Margaret Gentry Carpenters. She had lived in the Zion, Ill., and Interlachen, Fla., for much of her life. She was a commercial housekeeper and she attended the Church of God. She enjoyed collecting Indian relics and collectible dolls.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Booneville Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her husband, James Robertson, whom she married one July 24, 1971; one son, James Eric Robertson of Interlachen, Fla.; one daughter, Jennifer Robertson of Interlachen, Fla.; three brothers, Gerald Carpenter, Carmon Carpenter and Wade Carpenter, all of Booneville; one sister, Barbara Bailey of Zion, Ill.; three grandchildren, Coral Robertson, Jacob Robertson and Zachary Rash.

Pallbearers will be Paul Carpenter, Randy Carpenter, Ralph Carpenter, Paul Rash, Bill Robertson and Bill McCoy.
