Age 99, daughter of the late Benjamin and Jessie Calre Dennis. She was an active member of the Wattsburg Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, serving as an Elder, Clerk of Sessions for over 12 years, and Secretary of the Women's Association for over 20 years. She wrote the Wattsburg Column for the former Union City Times Leader for several years. She also enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Allen, in 1982; and also by three sisters, Mildred Baily (Ward), Eleanor Stellmack (d 12/18/1997) (Albert), and Erma Bliley (Lloyd).
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Doolittle (Wayne), of Erie, Pa.; a son, Arthur Allen (Jane), of Wattsburg, Pa.; three granddaughters; four grandsons; four great-granddaughters; six great-grandsons; a sister, Jeanette "Ruth" Parker of Napa, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
