He was a machinist at Cessna Aircraft Co. for 38 years, prior to retirement in 1989. He was a member of Knights of Columbus at All Saints Catholic Church and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; two sons, Greg and wife, Kelley, Plano, Texas, and Patrick and wife, Debbie, Wichita; a daughter, Theresa DeLong and husband, Steve, Wichita; three sisters, Jeanette Pfortmiller and husband, Glen, Hays, Eileen Dreiling and Patricia Boswell and husband, Ron, all of Wichita; a sister-in-law, Toni Dreiling, Wichita; a granddaughter, Jill Dreiling, Plano; two grandsons, Scott Dreiling, Plano, and Benjamin Dreiling, Wichita; and a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne Pittman, Plano.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerome Raymond Dreiling; two sisters, Catherine Harkness and Mildred Schaible; a brother, Bernie Dreiling; and his parents.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church. A rosary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202, or The Lord's Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214.
