Isaac Boblet was arrested in October 1840 on a charge of Retailing Spiritous Liquors without a License. He pled not guilty and bonded out for $25. He was a cabinet maker, operating his own wood working shop in Rushville, 1850. He married in 1830 to Tullia Laughlin, daughter of one of Rush County's leading men, Dr. William B. Laughlin. After Tullia Boblett died in 1838, Isaac remarried to Elizabeth Hilkert. Isaac was elected Senior Deacon of the Rushville Grand Masonic Lodge in 1838. He died in Rushville, 1855 and some of the children were sent to live with Elizabeth (Hilkert) Boblett's parents in Jackson Township.
