Mr. David Sellers 96, of Clarendon died Monday, November 03, 2014 in Lower Cape Fear Hospice & Lifecare Center in Whiteville. He was born January 6, 1918 in Columbus County, the son of the late Rev. Lonzie Sellers and Nettie Norris Sellers. He was the widower of the late Peggy Venable Sellers.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Sellers of Chadbourn, Hilda Best of Whiteville; three sisters, Annie Belle Patterson of Whiteville, Marie Dawsey of Lake Waccamaw, Yvonne Ellis of Whiteville, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, Mitchell Sellers; a great grandson, Kyle Sellers; brothers, Floyd and Wayne Sellers.
His funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mitchell Smith and Rev. Buddy Seay. Burial will be in Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park.
