Peggy Cannon Arnette, age 75, of Lenoir died on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. She was born September 16, 1939 in Caldwell County to the late Annie Mae Turner. Other than her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lynn Cannon.
Ms. Arnette was of the Baptist faith. She was the owner of Peggy’s Fabric Shop in Baton, NC and retired from retail sales. Her happiness was found in collecting of dolls, antiques, etc. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved all of her many friends.
Those left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Penny Cannon Triplett and husband Roger; a son, Tim Cannon and wife Tina; grandsons Chad Triplett and wife Abbe, and Lynx Cannon; granddaughters, DeAnna Martinat and husband Ernest, Amanda Crump and husband Philip, and Lexus Cannon; great-grandchildren, Jacia and Madden Triplett, Kaylyn and Isaiah Martinat, and Evan Crump; as well as the step-mother of 11children.
A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Jerry Reeves. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home.
