Survived by her children: Stephen A. Bywater (Kathleen M.), Katherine A. Carlton (Jace M.), Janet M. Anderson (Ryan T.), Diane B. Larsen (Rodney J.); 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and her brother C. Ned Christensen. Preceded in death by her husband, Abram Hatch Bywater; parents, Orsen Reuben Christensen and Anna Katherine Felix; sisters, Alice, Betty, Eunice and Zitelle and 2 brothers, Orsen and Ralph.
Bernice was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Church in many capacities from Golden Gleaners to helping the General Relief Society Board. She was a teacher and Relief Society president and wrote and directed countless Road Shows. In the community she served as PTA President, on many civic committees, and enjoyed being an election poll worker. She was properties manager for a community college drama department for many years, and was constantly involved in some aspect of the arts. She loved to learn and was still taking classes at the time of her death. She blessed the lives of her family and many people with her creativity and multiple talents. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014 at the LDS Chapel, 1250 South Main, where a viewing will be held from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
