BETTY JO HARGROVE PANTER, departed this life on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at The Willows at Winchester, to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, following an extended illness. She was born in Ardmore, Alabama on June 12, 1934. Mrs. Panter was a beautician when her children were young, she operated her own shop in her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Estill Springs, She served many years on the Planning Commission Board for the City of Estill Springs. Mrs. Panter worked beside her husband as Bookkeeper at their family business, Panter Garage & Auto Parts. Mrs. Panter is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Robert Panter, Sons; David (Mitzie H.) Panter all of Estill Springs, Mike (Nancy) Panter of Winchester, sister, Marcella Brannan of California, Grandchildren; Kely Foster of Belvidere, David Panter, Jr. of Irvine, Cal., Stephanie Davis of Estill Springs, Megan Chiriboga of Hampstead, NC and Jordan Panter of Winchester, Tenn., Great-grandson, Chase Vickers of Tullahoma, Great-great-granddaughter, Isabella Grace Vickers. Visitation for Mrs. Panter will be held from 5:00-9:00 on Wednesday Evening in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services. Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 30, 2014, in the Chapel of Grant Funeral Services with Bro. Jim Patton, officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
