William Arthur Sweebe, Jr., 72, of Midland, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 1991, at eh Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Fla.
He was born June 29, 1918, in Rudolph, Ohio, to the late William Arthur and Bertha (Flickinger) Sweebe. He was a resident of Midland for most of his life.
William Sweebe married the former DonnaJean Terrill on July 22, 1938, in Midalnd. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and in the national Guards. he was employed as a semi-supervisor in tool repair at The Dow Chemical Co. retiring in 1976. He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, DonnaJean; daughter, Jean Harrington of Union Lake; grandchildren, Beth Miral Chudler of Southfield; Lance Miral of Pontiac; and David Miral of Union Lake. Sister and brother-in-law, Helen and LeRoy Norris of Fort Wayne, Ind. And numerous nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Harry, Claude, Burton and Orville Sweebe.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, Feb. 4, 1991, at 11 a.m. at the Smith-Miner Funeral Home with Rev. James M. Thompson, pastor of the Homer Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Midland Cemetery.
